Black ops
Well, cod ... er 7? Is out in November and so far Treyarch have confirmed there will be dedicated servers for PC players :D. Can't wait to see some multi player footage of it. :D

this time i think i'll be disappointed from the start and hope i get pleasantly surprised.

Its Treyarch, they confirmed a couple of things against current MW2 stuff:
-No commando perk. -Knife is equipment, so you have to swap to it and use it, not magically stab. -Dedicated servers (no shit sherlok, MW2 is still less played than Counter Strike or CoD4). Yet i spect that it'll have less players than MW2 same as happened with WaW vs CoD4, because its vietnam and usually Treyarch games are soulless. |

Apparently the weapons in WaW were "too difficult" for noobs and the mw2 weapons are "too easy". Agree on the latter. Pathetic making a game noob friendly aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr |
Apparently there will be a black ops beta. I really hope this is a hit within the clan so we can get some competitive matches going again. Miss those nights :(.

Its quite a long interview but worth to read:
http://www.digitalspy.com/gaming/int...black-ops.html http://blackops.digitalwarfare247.co...lean-confirmed Good news for PC players; dev console, mod tools, and lean were just confirmed for Black Ops PC version. |
Looking forward to this, in a pessimistic sort of fashion. I wonder if they'll have the colour schemes for the tags (^1,^2,^3 etc). Would be sweet to get the old tags back. =|uk-r|= :D
What I am particularly happy about is the tailoring for PC players. Something that IW definitely did not do in MW2 and something that Dice skipped on in BC2 (no prone or lean. Lean was supposed to appear in the PC version but after the uproar from the console crowd it was removed - as far as I know, that is. Not sure about mod tools). Still, I don't want to get too overzealous as I don't want to be disappointed like I was with MW2. |
Prone in BC2 is a bad idea, its BAD enough with kid sniping from silly spots, to even have them proning. Lean isnt the best idea because it just encourages corner camping (that thing we played on CoD1/2 HQ A LOT).
|
tbh i love lean, yer it can encourage camping but i want it to feel authentic not like a quake rocket arena match, I want to take cover, lean out and take some1s head off then back the fuck up :)
I have no issue with prone either long as its staggered and not auto prone or u get the leap proning which is retarded, but staged prones for accuracy ect are fine i mean in a real fire fight u dont hear the rag heads saying "Remember infidels you not prone! praise alah!". Im watchin this closely like DK & RK i dont want to dive in with illuminous speedos incase its shit. EDIT : That video billy what platform is that? PC or? |

I believe the leading platform is the xbox. As far as numbers go, I believe XBL is more populated than the PSN, by quite a large number. Xbox is more popular, but the PS3 is more powerful.
As far as I'm concerned, PC gaming dwarfs them both - in terms of quality ;) |

I'd rather lean round a corner as a smaller target than get shot if I have to do a full-body jump out. As long as it doesn't lead to insane clipping (*looks at MOHAA*) then I can deal with it. Corner camping, that happens with or without lean. Look at all the camping in MW2. Plenty of people lie behind corners waiting. At least if they are leaning around a corner you get a slim chance to take them out. It worked fine in MW1. |
without a suppression system everything is doomed to failure...
