5.1 Headsets

I am currently on a hunt for a new gaming headset saying as I don't have a mic any more. As I was looking I stumbled across 5.1 headsets and instantly thought I MUST PURCHASE THISSSSSSSSSSSS.

I'm glad I checked my balance before I did an impulse purchase, however has anyone got any experience with these? I was looking at the Speedlink Madusa and the Razer Barracuda.

I got some 5.1s ages ago and am now looking to replace. I thought were good, but, tbh, I still couldn't really tell where stuff was, so this thread might help...

apparently the 5.1s are rubbish.

Thanks for that, sort of threw a spanner in the works. It's not all bad though, it means I'm not spending money on a headset. I'm just going to buy a mic instead and keep my current headphones.

Personally I like Sennheisers headsets but Custom PC recently ran piece on headsets.

Might be worth reading through, though I havent personally tried any of the headsets they review so cant really say anything about them...
